Beaver Regional Waste Management Service Depot
16000 Sq.Ft. of shop space, 1600 Sq.Ft. of office space, and a 2400 Sq.Ft. washbay.
Due to the design/build nature of this project, construction started in early 2011 soon after the project was conceived. The building is expected to be fully operational by fall 2011.
From a mechanical perspective, the Ryley Service Depot took advantage of an energy efficient condensing boiler and equally efficient in-floor heating to heat the shop space. As service bays require high ventilation rates, it was decided that the make-up air unit would utilize a heat pipe energy recovery system. This type of system can capture heat from the air being exhausted and use it to heat the make-up air.
