Clark Engineering was retained by a condominium board in Edmonton, Alberta to review building piping systems after frequent piping failures caused continual and extensive building damage.
Clark Engineering conducted an exhaustive review of the building and the heating water and potable water piping installations. Following a review of the failure sites, the pipe materials, and the installation methods, Clark Engineering proposed a number of solutions to mitigate the frequent failures.
The condominium board opted in favour of replacement rather than repair and Clark Engineering was retained to provide detailed design, tender administration, and construction administration services. The project was completed in 2017.
