CAMROSE CITY HALL

Camrose City Hall is a municipal administration office located in Camrose, Alberta. The building is 4,500 m2 split over four above-grade storeys. The building has a full below-grade parking level.

Clark Engineering took over as primary mechanical consultant for the facility, providing evaluation services for the partially competed mechanical design, design rework services, and complete design and documentation services for the installation of the heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

The project included a wide array space types, from municipal courts to open concept office space, requiring specialised mechanical systems to suit each use. Mechanical system highlights include:

  • High-efficiency, cascading, natural-gas-fired boiler system with variable-speed pumping system
  • Magnetic-bearing chiller system with variable-speed pumping system
  • Free-cooling integration to the mechanical cooling systems
  • Energy-recovery ventilation systems to provide the exhaust and fresh air requirements for the building
  • Raised-floor displacement ventilation systems
  • In-floor, trench-style, office thermal comfort systems

The building was completed in 2015 and serves as a central hub for the City of Camrose municipal administration services.
