In 2018, Clark Engineering provided evaluation and design services for the replacement of a rooftop air handling unit at the Lakeland College campus in Lloydminster, AB.
Lakeland College offers a mix of programs at the Lloydminster campus, including everything from power engineering to esthetician programs. The campus is a single building with all students, staff, and programs housed under one roof.
One of the original air systems was reaching end of serviceable life, allowed precipitation to leak into the building, and was scheduled for replacement. Due to the quantity of fresh air required within the portion of the building ventilated by the unit, it was decided that a heat recovery ventilation system was to be provided integral to the new unit to provide the base load of fresh air.
The new unit was installed and commissioned in Summer 2019.
