Nursing Home Heating Upgrades
Winters are cold in Rosthern, SK, and this nursing home's mechanical system was too outdated to keep up.
The nursing home in Rosthern has two wings; the initial built in the 1960's, and a later addition built in the 1980's. With this came two outdated mechanical systems linked together in a very confusing manner.
In spite of limited space, and a multiple existing systems, we unified the mechanical systems and united the two buildings into one energy-efficient design. Two boiler packages, each of four condensing boilers were used. These boiler packages have the unique ability to fire in stages as heating is required, as opposed to large boilers running inefficiently at part loads.
